Karmic Koala:   As you all probably are aware, Ubuntu 9.10 was released yesterday. I took the time to upgrade my server today, and boy, was it easy. And with a codename of "Karmic Koala", how could I resist running it? (103 words, 0 comments, 0 pings)

Missing metadata in OpenVMS patches:   Recently, I've been having to do a lot of edits to the text files that describe OpenVMS patch releases. Noteably, the "Release date" field, which always was a part of the file, has been missing. In every single patch. I have no choice but to use the date that the file shows up on HP's FTP server as the release date of the patch. (235 words, 2 comments, 0 pings)
