A frequent poster to usenet newsgroup comp.os.vms recently suggested that blogs be used as a marketing tool to promote OpenVMS. Well, duh. Blogs have been around for a number of years, and the world wide web much longer. Knock yourself out.
This website is not so much a promotional tool for OpenVMS as much as it is (hopefully) a little window on my life. If it helps promote OpenVMS, great. But I'm doing things other than blogging to get the word out about OpenVMS, as a search of the net will demonstrate.
But could I be doing more? Other bloggers have had guest authors write articles and blog entries concerning the primary focus of their sites. Do you think that approach here might bring more attention to our favourite operating system? From a marketing perspective? A technical perspective?
