Volume level ACL weirdness

I spent a fair amount of time on the phone today talking to Support about a strange problem with the $ SET SECURITY/CLASS=VOLUME command.

In a two node cluster, issuing the command to add an ACE then doing a $ SHOW SECURITY command, and the ACE only shows up on one node?!? The node where I didn't issue the command?!?

Other security classes don't have the problem, but then again, the VOLUME class is the only class that doesn't store the ACE information in SYS$SYSTEM:VMS$OBJECTS.DAT but rather SECURITY.SYS in the MFD of the disk. Additionally, this appears to be the only cluster with the problem.

It must be a configuration problem, but where?
