EMC fiasco

Sorry EMC, but you deserve this.

EMC has been attempting to put storage on our floor. As usual they are getting money, while looking completely clueless in the eyes of the technical people.

EMC delivered two DMX 1000 boxes a while back. Just as last time, they have had absolutely no idea of how to deal with OpenVMS. They struggled for two days, then told me that the way we would see the storage was to "delete the existing device and recreate it". And seemed completely oblivious that that entailed rebooting the machines.

And of course rebooting the machines got us nowhere. Thanks for nothing, guys.

You have tomorrow to get a clue, EMC.
