A new lexical

Just recently in the Usenet newsgroup comp.os.vms, one of the OpenVMS Engineering Team announced that there would be a new lexical function available in OpenVMS 7.3-2 called f$delta_time().

The lexical will allow a programmer to return the difference between two absolute times, or to calculate an absolute time from the addition or subtraction of an absolute and delta time.

The ability to calculate a delta time from two absolute times has long been desired in DCL.
