Switch to gigabit ethernet

I spent most of today converting the main production cluster to gigabit ethernet. The paranoia that reigns at this place on the smallest change is hard to handle, but changes this big, I have to basically mortgage my soul to make them happen.

Anyway, the switch went reasonably painlessly. While I had the cluster down, I took the chance to install the 2GB HBAs for the conversion to fibrechannel.

Also, a few other sundry things were done. I started at 8 AM and finished at 7:30 PM, which is way too many hours in anyone's book.
