Sometimes, I am completely amazed. For example, three senior technical people tell management that the course they are taking has no technical merits at all, then propose alternate solutions. Yet management plows on regardless.
It reminds me of the attempt by the Indiana Legislature to set the value of pi.
It just goes to prove that a room full of learned people do not necessarily know the answer to everything. You have to get the right people in the room.
