Tape Firmware Problems

I received notification today that the DLT8000 tape drives in the ESL 9000 series libraries we installed recently have a bug in the firmware that could cause undetected corrupt data to be written to the tape.

You need to be sure that you are on firmware rev 59 for autoloader tapes and rev 80 for standalone tapes. Contact your HP services team for further information.
