I did a bunch of hardware work on the GS140 that was replaced by the first partition of the GS160 today. Scounged up six CIPCAs and loaded them up in the PCI cages in preparation of the inclusion of this machine in the Production cluster. This machine is destined to become the third front end machine in the cluster.
Later this year, I have a major project lined up to convert this cluster to fibrechannel. This is going to entail a lot of work. The major problem of course is that I cannot just swap controllers. All the data will have to be copied from the old storage to the new storage. It's going to be a challenge to do it in the limited downtime window we have to work with at this site.
