The end of Compaq

My apologies for the infrequent updates to the site. The job has been keeping me very busy. I think I should go into the circus and do a cat juggling act.

In five days, Compaq will cease to exist. We can only hope that Hewlett Packard will take better care of VMS than both DEC and Compaq have in the past. The way was cleared for the merger after a Delaware judge decided that Walter Hewlett had failed to prove his allegations concerning the merger vote.

The best thing is that the uncertainty is now out of the way and things can move on. It's going to be interesting to see what happens now...
